Pub news and peace of mind.
I forgot to tell you, that, since Monday Di and Jez have been away on a short break to Di's sister's caravan on the East coast. The pub has been looked after by Dis' best friend Nikki(not she of the horse), and she has done a great job. Not even Trigger phased her!
The wedding went well last weekend. The only slight blip was during the night when a rather fierce gale wrecked Jez's marquee. Fortunately nobody was in it!! Photos soon hopefully.
PEACE OF MIND
It's been 8 1/2 years since I got squashed,(doesn't time fly when you're having fun?), and due to various hitches, like waiting for someone to die,(sounds awful doesn't it?), I have finally got the compensation money that ensures my future care. Myself, Dad, and two of my closest friends met one of my solicitors to put signatures to a trust fund. All I need now is the bankers draft, and it's job done! This should be next week.
As you can imagine, this has been a stressful time, and tonight we shall sleep well in knowledge that it is finally over! Oh, and I made my will while we were there! Peace of mind at last!

Hoorah for the trust fund! When I saw the PEACE OF MIND, I thought it might be a continuation of Tuesday's joke.
I wouldn't tell the boys @ the Monk about the trust fund--they'll be wanting you to always be buying them rounds! :)
debi - But I shall tell them in a LOUD VOICE on Sunday when the pub is packed and John will have to buy everybody a pint, or we will let the tyres down on his wheelchair! I estimate that there will be about 50 people there, including one old gent who always tells John to "F**k off!" when he greets him with a cheery "Hello Tom, how the devil are you to-day?".
Gonratulations matey! *HUGE BIG HUG*
What a long wait. I'm glad you'll be getting a piece of mind at last.
East coast? Not my neck of the dunes, by any chance?
Keith, Bog off!
KB, thanks my friend! x
Z, somewhere near Skegness.
Debi, thanks, but with Keith around there is only trouble!
Good news J. Have a lie in as well!!
That is appalling to think it took so long....! Utterly Appalling!
Congratulations on this finally being over and I cannot even imagine the relief you must finally feel....!
Thanks so much, John, for your very sweey Birthday Wishes!
It was a great great day and a wonderful time was had by ALL.....ESPECIALLY, Me! (lol)
Hmmm - so that means you can afford to arm the wheelchair now? Fucking cool - I suggest you get one of those electric cattle prod doofers installed and when Trigger starts talking bollocks you can make him streak to the ceiling like that little rodent in Return Of The Jedi.
Seriously though, I'm glad it's finally sorted amigo.
Usual Gothic stuff
That must be such a a relief for you. WELL DONE!!!!! I am so pleased.
John,I obviously dont know you personally, neither do I know what unfortunate mishap you collided with but may I wish you future joy and happininess and may your compensation go some way to securing you a happy future. You have a happy face.
it is scandalous that it had to take so long to get your compensation.
do the tuesday joke x
Gosh what a long wait but congratulations that it is all settled at last. Does the trust fund run to a little holiday for you and your dad?
After a such long wait this must be a huge relief for you, and for your dear Dad.
Sending very caring huggles and love to you each and both from
Michelle in the Wellington, NZ of the severe storm force gale winds and rain over Sunday - such winter fun!
Good to hear, John - didnt' know this saga was going on but happy to hear it's over.
Writing a will is a good idea too... seems a bit grim when you think about it but definitely worthwhile.
Finally - I agree with Spanishgoth, some adjustments to the wheelie-bin might be in order. I wasn't thinking weapons though, more along the line of a bitchin' paint job and some massive chrome rims with spinners. And flames on the sides, definitely flames.
Parts of the above comment may not actually be good ideas.
R'pus: maybe you could get your F2 to design John a snazzy new ride...
So glad sweetie.
I'm really pleased for you John, because this must've been a very long & stressful time for you & your dad. You certainly deserve peace of mind now hon :-)
