General news.

Reg Varney from 'On The Buses' died yesterday aged 92

He was a big part of my teenage years of television. I will always remember his battles with Blakey, the inspector.

"I hate you Butler." That's about all I can remember. Crap series but it had its moments and is part of our heritage!

Dumdad, i think it was " I'll get you Butler", but i know what you mean. Classic stuff. I wonder why they don't re-run "Love thy neighbour"?

Sad news. I loved 'On The Buses'! Blakey was my favourite........memories of childhood.:)

They can't re-run "Love thy neighbour" or even "Till Death Us Do Part", The Political Correct fucking 'do-gooders' would have fits! You can't refer to all those nice benefit-seeking incomers from the Indian colonies as ***'S and such like that Alf Garnet did! We as 'White Trash' are above that sort of thing now!

Oy Grumpy. They didn't ban anything - some shit got moved to a cheaper part of Europe called India.

I still remember Olive, she was on the Sunday Night Project this year.

Gah, I feel old now.

Were you surprised how old he was? I was. Do you remember 'Arthur' in 'Eastenders'?
I always thought they could have been brothers.

I am not familiar with that show or him. But it is always so sad when one of the TV or Film stalwarts dies. 92....Bless Him!

Somehow my Comment got cut up---I must have done something...That sentence was "...one of the TV or Film stalwarts of OUR CHILDHOOD, dies.....! That makes a little more sense, I think....Well, I hope it does....lol!
