Home news.

Dad has been diagnosed with Polymyalgia. It is easily treatable with steroids and the treatment should start on Friday.

It is such a relief to know what the problem is and that it can be controlled, and that my Dad will be pain free!

Hooray for an answer at last. My very dear friend, Pam, has it and hers is very well managed with her steroid treatment.

Hey - Zebby Cat is on steroids (prednisone) too!

Please say hello to your dad. Isn't it sad to see your beloved parent in pain? But such a relief that he can be treated!

Thank you all for your comments!

I agree with Guyana Gyal - it's horrible to see a parent in pain. My recent trip to the UK was a prime example & I felt so helpless as I couldn't do anything to help ease my dads pain :-(
Here's hoping your dad has kissed the days of pain well away now john :-)
