New pub news.

I've used The Hollybush for 30 years. It is now my lunchtime haunt. A more welcoming landlord you couldn't wish for. I'm settled in and there are old friends I haven't seen for years. The memories are still there, and good they are!

But it isn't the Merrie Monk!

I understand your feelings. A couple of years (or so) ago my favorite coffee house decided to move to the other side of the Interstate--a location way too far for me.

There's another branch closer, but it''s not the social center the first one was.

Hope you do better.

Wholly agree John, Kath & I visited the other day, never been in the pub before and thought it was very nice and clean, good beers with many of the lunch time regulars from the Monk having followed you, I think the gaffer should give you beer for life for all the extra trade you have bought in. See you soon

Hope so Mr. Rob!

Well, that's a bit of good news anyway. Sorry my plan to make millions of Euros (see Joke Tuesday) fell through, otherwise I would have bought you the Merrie Monk and all of its staff to be your personal minders and source of blog fodder forever. :)

Oh I'm so glad to hear that John.
Don't be too sad and a Happy Christmas to you and Dad.

Well, you're there! That's a good start. As the Bob Marley songs goes, lively up yourself :-D Maybe you'll even find someone to give you a good slap now and then, the way Di did...? x x

Thanks, GG, I think?!

I'm glad you found a new haunt! Maybe Di will come in there on occasion and give you grief.
