Opinons.

I'm thinking about buying a Kindle, as it's the only way I could read books. Is it easy to use, and how much are the books?

Comments would be most appreciated.

I saw a lot of people last summer with Kindle's at airports, tube, beach, cafes and bars and it looked like a light thing to handle in all above situations.

I might get it(well rather the Kebo) but at the moment I save my pennies for epicurean pleasures rather than technology.

As for the prices of books...no idea..

No replies yet to my tweet on your behalf, but here's a review I found: Kindle as reading device for the disabled.

Hope you find it useful.

Look on Amazon John, they have a huge range of Kindle books. Opinion is that they are slightly dearer than paperbacks

Mr Rob said "Opinion is that they are slightly dearer than paperbacks".

They shouldn't be because there is no printing and publishing costs, and no postage and packing charges to add on!

I have a Sony eReader from Waterstones, but it uses a different format to the Kindle machine.

eBooks from those two shops are not interchangeable. Now W H Smiths have brought out the Kobo, which again uses a different format!

I'm tempted now they have come down in price - £89 approx. I don't think I'd save much on the cost of the books but wouldn't have to pay postage. I still prefer the feel of a book.
Let me know how you get on please.
And of course you get all the old ones out of copyright free.
