General drivel.

Jeremy Clarkson has caused more controversy by saying, last night on the BBC's 'The One Show', that the striking civil servants should be "taken out and shot in front of their families". Apparently nearly 5,000 people complained to the BBC, and the Unison union is taking legal advice with regard to suing him for inciting violence.

I suggest that the people who complained, and the union GET A LIFE!

Everyone knows what Clarkson is like. He breathes controversy. It's the way he gets publicity, and as anybody with a smattering of a sense of humour will know.......HE WAS ONLY JOKING!!!

If, however, you were insulted, TOUGH! Get over it!

My thoughts entirely. Some people simply do not get 'tongue in cheek' - I know from some passer-bys on my old blog! Some people are really stupid when watching TV - did you see Stephen Fry's documentary on swearing? Despite the warning before the programme, it STILL received complaints. I mean - WTF?

Zoe, we agree!

I agree absolutely with you JG. Who are these people who complain about a comment that was obviously a joke? I think THEY should be taken out and shot in front of their families. Ooops, here come the complaints about my comment . . .

I read the headlines about it in the Daily Mail (Wail) & thought "they just don't have a sense of humour anymore!"
It sucks that JC has to apologise, but then one word out of line from anyone & the PC brigade bleat like all hell!
As my family motto says; Fuck 'Em All Except Us"!

Apparently it was all planned in advance, shame really I'd rather think he was spontaneously mouthing off, makes it slightly less amusing...but only slightly!

Well, as someone who works in civil service, I was personally offended by Jeremy Clarkson's unfair and frankly misguided comments.

P.S. If you wish to respond to my message, please only contact me in working hours when I have more time to chat on the computer. So between 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday is fine... Oh, apart from lunch break 12 - 1... And not Thursdays as we have 'team building' meetings... or Monday's as I'm usually off sick...
