Pub news.
One of my good friends passed away yesterday. The victim of the dreaded cancer. His wife e-mailed me with the news and said it was a blessing as the pain, operations and associated crap he'd been through, it was amazing he lasted so long.
Malcolm was a fighter in the true sense of the word. He suffered no fools, but suffered a lot with dignity and humour.
My condolences go out to all his family!
I will miss you Malc, R.I.P my friend

John it might be a blessing to know he's pain free and at peace but that doesn't make it any the less painful for those who mourn. I'm sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you and your friend's family.
(Hugs)
Thanks Chris.
Oh John, I'm so sorry. I know you'll be there for his wife, she may find it a relief at first after all he and she have been through, but she will feel the grief later and she'll need good friends to talk to. You know all about suffering with grace and humour - which doesn't make the news any easier for you to bear. *hugs*
I must admit I was shocked to read your post. The last time I saw him he was bright and cheerful, and was telling me about his trips in his new car. I thought he was a fighter and still had a lot of time left.
I shall miss him and his banter. The "Monk" will be a sadder place without him.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend John.
I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard to lose a friend, even if you know their pain is ended...
Thank-you for your kind comments.
Sad news indeed John...condolences to all his family and friends but at least they can find comfort in the fact that he is out of pain now!
Thanks Wendy!
