Pub news.
It was my friend Malcolm's funeral today. I didn't attend, as wheelchairs and churches don't mix. I was in the pub for the wake. The place was packed, and I had a chance to talk with his family.
Di, put on a beautiful spread, and many fond memories were recalled. He is now buried along side a rogues gallery of past locals in the MERRIE MONK!
R.I.P. Malc!

Sorry to hear you were unable to attend, he'd have understood wherever he is now. At least you were at the wake which is a great salute to a good mate! :)
Wendy, hi. Malc knew I wouldn't be there, but there in 'spirit' so to speak!
LOL and I bet you had plenty of spirits for him ;)
Sad to hear. I trust he was properly seen off in the pub after the funeral.
Hang on--they buried him in the Merrie Monk?!
Seriously, it sounds like he was given a good sendoff. I hope to be as fondly remember when my time comes...
Sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral, but I had a steaming cold (still got it!) and I didn't want to keep coughing and sneezing in the church or the pub after.
I felt ill with a sore throat and temperature on Monday morning and it got worse in the next couple of days. I think I must have caught it sitting with you germ-ridden lot on Sunday lunchtime!
Glad to hear that all his friends gave him a good send off.
RIP to your mate Malcolm.
Ah the obligatory piss-up after the piss-off.
You’d think churches would be one of the first places wheelchair accessible.
Is god not fond of cripples?
So sorry you ;have lost a friend and may he rest in peace.
I'm glad you were there to properly see him off.
