Autumn colours.
The Autumn colours this year are as good as i've seen them since we moved here 34 years ago. This was taken from upstairs, and shows the colours off a treat.
This, is obviously a ground floor shot. Normally, at this time of year all the leaves are down, and Dad gets his sweeping-up head on. Makes great compost!
I don't know why the house roofs look so blue though. Any tips?

Lovely John. Do you know the name of the tree? The trouble with Autumn is the bloody leaves!
Mum2, only that it's a Japanese flowering cherry.
We usually get all the neighbour's leaves blowing into our garden but so far there hasn't been many.
Could the blueness be to do with the camera setting?
Chrisb, could be, Dad takes the pics and he's hopeless with anything digital!
Strange you should post Autumn colours today. We hadn't been out and about for nearly a week and suddenly the leaves have really changed to reveal their full glory. IF I can get a photogrph before they all fall off there MAY be one on the blog.(A photo, not a leaf) But I'm not making any promises.
Beautiful colours and the roofs look slate grey to my old eyes :o)

Beautiful.
I'm still jealous of your garden!
Thanks, Beccy!
Too much blue light. Stick a blue filter or a daylight filter on the lens, you idiot! See you on Tuesday.
Very clever, Keith. I've never tried any filters or any other whole-image processing yet, but now I've seen this I'll have to give it a go.
love the tree and i love autumn colours, sorry no tips i just aim and shoot!
I love your photos John (particularly of the garden) & these autumnal ones are smashing. Right now, the UK has lovely seasonal colours. Over here, we're almost excited as we've had grey clouds for 2 whole days - whoopee! There was rumour it might rain, but not a drop yet. *sigh*
(how sad is that!!)
Glad to know Trigger isn't MIA :-)
Keith, how dare you, you swine!!
Her indoors, Dads the same!
Jin, Dad loves his garden, and I hope you get a drop soon!
You pick up blue tones depending on your camera and the time of day. You can't compensate with an automatic digital camera and without extensive surgery Photoshop can only do so much to improve the whole. Try taking the same photo at a different time of day but I wouldn't bother - you have picked out the lovely tones in the trees!
Thanks Minx, xx
Sorry John, I was only trying to be helpful, but you did ask for any tips....
I will remove the offending bit straight away.
Keith, don't be a berk!!!
Lovely tree, sir.
