The last post! (2008)

Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my bloggie friends! (and Keith).

It's been a bit nippy arond here by our standards and last night we had freezing fog, so my 'sister' popped into our garden and took these photos.

An icy outlook!

The birds have been going through food like there's no tomorrow. Dad has been filling the bird tables with seed mix 5 or 6 times during daylight hours! They are worth it for the enjoyment we get from them.

This is birdtable number 3. About 10 feet from where I sit each morning in the conservatory. It's a pity I cant get any photos. I tried with a tripod, but, sadly couldn't reach the camera to focus, etc.

See you next year!!

Oh wow! About the same as it's been around here in Salford, though I prefer seeing it through the window! She must have been well wrapped up warm!

Happy New Year,
Kevin.

Happy New Year John! (oh alright, and Keith)

We have got thick fog just like that out here - I don't think it is actually freezing though!

Looking forward to more visits to the Merrie Monk in 2009.

Cheers

Happy New Year to you, John, and to all the folks at the Merrie Monk. The garden looks lovely, as usual, even if a bit frigid...

I don't encourage the feathered pests to come into my garden in the Winter, because they come back in the Spring and Summer and pinch my seedlings, peas and strawberries etc.

Luckily my neighbour has three half-starved cats who keep them away from my garden.

Don't get me wrong, I love birds, epecially chickens, turkeys and pheasants. I think they're delicious with my homegrown peas and some cranberry sauce.

John, visiting your blog and having the opportunity to share in your life has been wonderful these past few months. I reckon the camera needs to be modified such that you can use it properly - watch out world, here comes a really talented photographer.

I did enjoy your photographs of your family, and those of your beautiful garden. What a lovely scene out your window. I agree with @Rantz, your camera needs to be modified, and then you can post your photos. Happy New Year!
