Food for thought.

Over the past few days the Daily Telegraph (D.T.) have been running a series of letters/articles about their readers most annoying sayings/phrases. I will give you all an example, then let the comments flow.

"He was the first to invent............."
You get the idea.

Er... such annoying phrases pepper articles and news broadcasts. Such as "The BBC has learnt...". My oh my, Auntie is so erudite eh!

Keith you have an obsession with being first! I think we should make up a badge for you - well done...:)

and what pees me off in the news....when they don't know something for sure but want to be the first to announce the possibility so they don't look like uttely clueless twats..

"So and so are thought to be..."
