It's my own fault!

Just when I was beginning to get a small grip of posting using HTML, one of my mates tells me to get Photoshop.

"Use this, it's brilliant. I do all my designing using this." He says. "You can do anything with this."

I gleefully took it home and downloaded it, thinking I could make distorted pictures of Keith.

Instructions, no! Can I use it, no. Ring a bell................?

Photoshop. Very powerful. Very confusing. Online help - pretty useless.

I have PShop CS2 on this here laptop. Fortunately I also got a CS2 book for Xmas, so maybe this year I'll learn how to use it.

I want to upgrade my photoshop elements (not that I've really mastered the version I've got)~ so how about sending it down to me before you return it!!

RTFM - Read The Friendly Manual. That's why I bought Paint Shop Pro. 140 pages of meaty goodness to steer you through those tricky bits. Opening images, saving images, deleting images, it's all in there.

I'll be watching your efforts as you go through the Photoshop help, I love a good laugh.

I have Photoshop 7 too - and it's taken me a year to finally figure out what I'm doing. Good luck - hang in there and just have fun with it!

The Visual Quickstart Guides are what we used in classes to learn Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. I thought they were well laid out and fairly easy to use. Of course, if you have a specific question, I'd be glad to field it. I just got CS3, so my version is a bit different from yours, but maybe I can help... Did the program not come with any tutorial discs?

It does ring a bell, mum got Dillon to teach her some things when we were over there. As for me, I'm too scared to give it a go but Dillon is doing a good job in persuading me.

Hope the new year treats you well!

I have the Photoshop 7 and I think it is quite handy. As for the manual, I dont think I ever saw one. So if this blonde can get stuff done on the photshop, you should be able to (at least in theory ;)

If I have photo shop I never use it. Is it the same as Picasa? I use that a lot and find it compatible with a bird brain like moi.

Mum2, I have Picassa, and it's totally different.

Tried it myself! Been there - done that!
I am too thick for it. I don't do "complicated"!!
I use Google's Picassa instead! It's free, idiot-proof and will do me fine!!
Happy New Year!

Stick with it kid! When you've mastered HTML and PhotoShop you can then tackle "Gemina Puddleduck" by Beatrice Potter. ("Peter Rabbit" might be a trifle difficult).

How do we know said...

photoshop? My one word cure whnever i think one can handle technology! The most user unfriendly software i have ever encountered!
