What's in your dresser?
This is our dresser, passed down at least two generations that I know of. The photos on the left are my fathers parents, the one on the right of that is my mum's mum,in the middle is my mum and dad with friends.
The silverware is solid silver, how old, I have yet to determine. The plates are original willow pattern.

That's lovely. Even if I knew how to, I don't think I'd have the courage to post a photo in your comments box - not before I'd had a good tidy up, anyway.
Sandy, thanks, and post one in yours, it's easy!
that is really nice.
I don't have a dresser or indeed anything that has been passed down, how sad is that?!
john I love your dresser. My mother has a Welsh dresser with some blue and white. I have a smaller Dutch dresser with blue and white~ one of the plates got broken at christmas luckily it wasn't one of my antique ones as it was only 40yrs old.
John - I've put up a picture of MY dresser which makes yours look a bit pathetic!
See you in the pub on Sunday....
We've got an old dresser too, but it isn't a family heirloom - my husband bought it before we were married. I like yours. If you haven't got a book of hallmarks, you can look them up on the internet - sometimes it's easier to take a photo and blow it up rather than try to peer at the hallmark.
Don't have a dresser :(
Yours is a handsome one though :)
I prefer to undresser
John it's so like my own - which I've already posted somewhere. I have a silver Kettle on a spirit thingy - not solid but treasured as it belonged to my first MIL. And I also have blue and white but they are dispersed through out the house. Must pop over to Grumps.
I had to sack the Dresser when daddy lost the deeds to the estate in a card game!
Whose are the clay pipes on the wall?
Jon m, they were found on the disused railway line that runs through the village. It was closed by Beeching!
That plate that broke...it was Ben, mum is too polite to tell you!
I am finding a dresser theme all over the blogspace like a rash...do I have to post one?
meredic........your choice!
It's really lovely John :-) I remember my parents having a beautiful blue willow pattern platter, way back when I was a young 'un.
