Camera news.

My Sister has had my camera for a week to get used to the zoom lens. Here are some pictures she took.

plane

Click to zoom, but you knew that!

Buzzard

A majestic Buzzard soaring on the thermals.

male Chaffinch

A male Chaffinch. Sis was lucky to get this as they are really flighty things and don't settle for long!

More soon, but flowers next.

Thanks Chris, she's done really well!

Belgian chaffinches tend to stay on the ground under the bird table so are easy to capture. Perhaps your sister and her wonderful eye should visit?

Zed, you two together would be a lethal cocktail!

reckons that must be a proper ufo with the buzzard and plane. Have you reported it to the authorities?

Rantz, I saw that too!

Only just noticed, that camera must really have a fast shutter speed if it can freeze the plane's propeller like that!
(I'm assuming of course it's a proper camera - I thought digital cameras still had a very long way to go before they're capable of photo's as good as that?).

The focal clarity of that chaffinch is superb!

Kevin, a NIKON D40 SLR, with 18-55mm lens for the close shots and a 70-300mm lens for the long shots!
