A man in Dallas, Texas shot dead an intruder, after his parrot woke him up, when it said hello to the burglar!!
Bird brain? NO!!

In most civilized countries, the intruder would have been apprehended by the police, or escaped, rather than being shot dead.

A burglar breaks into a house. Whilst collecting up the loot he hears a voice saying "Jesus is watching you!" Looking round he sees a parrot on it's perch. "Hello, birdy, whats your name?" he says. The parrot replies, "Polly, and the rotweiller in the corner is called 'Jesus' !".
The old ones are the best! Boom, boom!
I like it. Very good.
Reminds me of the farmer in the Fens some years ago who shot two intruders at his remote farm and was sent to prison.
Dogs are much more useful than birds - and barking is louder than squwking!!
I'll stick to my big "bad" dogs!!
