I think i`m thick!

Keith came over for a pint today and gave me a book called "html in easy steps", and very kind of him it was.

However, having spent all evening reading it I am no nearer understanding the damn thing. It doesn`t tell you where to start, i.e. what screen I should be looking at when I begin typing in strange icons/thingies. I will keep trying, but do not hold your breath, as I will not be held responsible for any fatalities(apart from my own)!

john, im also helpless when it comes to html. numbers and formulas are easier to understand. but html codes are altogether like rocket science to me.

My young friend Tom showed me and put it on a notepad in my computer and at this very moment I need it to point people to vote for me in Blogger Battle. (To my amazement i was nominated) The only comfort is that the organiser hasn't herself done the links so I'm not alone. I must give it another try. The thing is if you miss a dot or comma or anything it won't work.

Yup - dots and commas and semi-colons.....you never knew how important they'd be when you were at school, did you!

At least the book he gave you wasn't called 'HTML for Dummies', which is what I have. And no, I don't understand it either. Let's face it John, some of us are immune to technogeekery. Doesn't make us lesser beings, just different.

I just copy bits I need from other how-to-HTML-pages on the 'net, into a word.doc that I keep on me PC desktop and change the bits I need to change using copy-paste.

A friend of mine says, why invent the wheel every Tuesday - just use what's there already...

Cailleach, that`s far too easy, but I WANT to learn!

hahahahaha, good point john. i guess one reason for us "being thick" with this html stuff is because some people are just not good taking instructions from non-living things. :)

i prefer one that talks. and breathes.
