It`s a small world

Who`d of thought it? I had a comment from Keith via Zoe`s blog. It turns out he lives about a mile or so from where the nasty tree squashed me 7 years ago. How spooky is that?

I`ve invited him for a pint one lunchtime, it would be nice to meet a fellow blogger, considering how far and wide everyone is spread, so, if you read this, Keith the offer still stands.

Yes, I'm here, lurking around as usual. I would love to have a pint with you one lunch time. And because you said nice things about me, and you've never seen what an ugly old git I am, I will put you on my Blogroll forthwith, if not sooner!

Keith, you`re on mine already. Look forward to the pint, any lunchtime. Cheers.

Small world indeed! A bit like when I went down to breakfast with my dad one morning 16 years ago in Ireland - in a family-run guesthouse in the middle of nowhere - and came face to face with my English teacher and her husband about to tuck into their bacon and eggs... Not so astounding hadn't it been for the fact that all of us were a long way away from home - back then much further than just a hop over the Irish sea away!

Ariel, i met my old English teacher with someone who wasn`t his wife in Arcachon (S.W. France) twenty years ago. Luckily i had left school by then!

John, my local is the Dog& Gun in Keats Lane, Earl Shiulton. Known locally as the "Woof and Bang". I'm in most nights, scrounging drinks off the rich tossers, sorry, people in there.

Bloody Hell, I cant' spell now! It's Earl Shilton, not Earl Shit-on!

Keith, unfortunately due to accident/subsequent disability i don`t go out at night, as i have to rely on Father, who is 77 now and likes his evenings in. Thanks for the thought though.

Oh John you want to be careful of Keith - he'll drive you up the wall...;)

Naah - kidding..he's lovely.

Blimey do you have to stay at home every night? That's awful. Mind you - I do that and I have a choice and it's actually nice to be at home.
