New car.

We bought a new car today, well new to us (6 mths old). Dad isn't very good with technology, wont read instruction books, and so, since 4.00pm has been out every 1/2hr because "I've just thought" kicks in. If the car has any battery power left in the morning I shall be amazed.

You know what he's trying to do?

Set the damn clock!!!!!!!

Cars hey! Clocks! Phwer! Wait till he has to do something essential to the running of the car...like tune the radio! :-)

Any joy with the clock yet John, and have you suggested in a very roundabout way that maybe he should look at the instructions? Spent half my adult life setting clocks and watches (jeweller in my past life for 17years!) for men who refused to read instructions. All felt a little daft when it took me ten seconds to set them when they'd been faffing around for days, swearing there was something wrong with it.:-)

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, and advice, but I, the cripple did both in 5 mins. Boy did he feel daft. "Your used to this modern crap"

"No Dad, I read the book whilst you were farting around!"

Only six months old? Then it must be full of computers and stuff.
We are just used to elderly forms of transport and when we hired a modern car a few months back it didn't even have an ignition key.
Fortunately there was a screen telling you what to do.
